We had a transmission problem on I-10 near Slidell in LA. on a Saturday morning. We were towed by ASAP Towing to a campground for the weekend. We are complete strangers to the area & Sam's took care of all the details. On Monday morning we were again towed by a Sam's agent to Aamco Transmission in Covington, LA. They couldn't have been nicer. We had a major problem. Probably need new transmission. They allowed us to stay in their fenced-in lot, gave us a key, ran us an electric line & a customer of theirs from Charter Cable ran us a temperory cable line for the TV. They felt bad because we were so stranded. We will probable be here 3 or 4 days. The "Extended Warranty" people have to inspect the transmission before we get the go ahead to fix or replace. At 6: A.M. a man was already hard at work removing the transmission. So, here we sit but with good people that Good Sam's helped us connect with. We feel very fortunate to have been stranded with such nice people. If you have the mis-fortune to need service in Covington, LA. you can't go wrong with Aamco on HWY 190 E in Covington.
