Q: Why do I need Good Sam RV ERS?
A: Although Good Sam RV ERS handles all types of vehicles, our RV service is unparalleled - there is no substitute for the right tools when you are in need of emergency roadside service and recreational vehicle towing. We dispatch the best, most efficient and professional RV towing (motor home towing, fifth wheel towing, trailer towing, etc) and repair companies in the U.S. and Canada to ensure that your vehicles are handled properly and safely.
Q: Who is protected under the emergency breakdown service program?
A: The ERS member, the associate (family) member [the member's spouse or domestic partner (i.e. two adults residing in the same household), and any dependant children 25 or younger living at home or attending college].
Q: How long will it take for ERS dispatch to arrive?
A: Emergency roadside assistance averages between 45 - 60 minutes. However, when you call for roadside assistance, a service representative will be able to give you an accurate estimated time of arrival. Good Sam RV ERS guarantees quality, on-time service when you need it most.
Q: How do I use my membership?
A: Simply call the dispatch phone number. This number can be found on the back of your roadside assistance club membership card and in your Member Benefits Brochure.
A: Yes. . We provide emergency roadside assistance in Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Mexico. For Standard Memberships service is rendered up to a maximum of $1,000 per member per year and for Platinum Memberships up to $1,500.
Q: Does the member have to pay for the service and then submit a receipt for reimbursement?
A: Not in the U.S. and Canada. Good Sam RV ERS provides Sign and Drive service. All services are prepaid so you don't have to deal with forms or red tape. In Mexico, however, a claim form must be submitted for review and reimbursement. See Member Benefit Brochure for more details.
Q: What towing service would you call in my area?
A: Good Sam RV ERS uses over 40,000 dispatch facilities across the US and Canada to provide RV towing (trailer towing, motorhome towing, auto towing, and 5th wheel towing.) The tow provider closest to the member, with the proper equipment and who is first available for a timely dispatch, would be called to provide service to your breakdown location.
Q: I own a fifth wheel trailer and truck. If my truck breaks down, does Good Sam RV ERS pay to tow the truck and trailer?
A: Yes! While other emergency roadside service providers may not cover specialized services like fifth wheel towing, Good Sam RV ERS includes the cost to tow both vehicles to the nearest professional service center that can repair your vehicle. If the repairs on your truck are serious enough that they will take several days to complete, Good Sam RV ERS will pay to have your trailer taken to a safe location, such as the nearest campground while you wait.
Q: If I don't like this membership, can I get my money back?
A: Yes. Within the first 30 days of your membership, you are entitled to a full refund - no questions asked. If you change your mind after that you will be given a pro-rated refund of your membership dues - even if you have used our services.
